Simple and Complex Trinomials

ax2 + bx + c

To begin with i would like to tell you that the only difference between simple and complex trinomails is that the a value in the equation is that the a value in simple is always 1 but in complex is anything but 1.

Steps for simple trinomials:

1: Check if you can factor out a number and or variable from each expression and if you can place outside of brackets

2: Expand the x^2 to two brackets

3: find factors of the c value that add up to the b value

Complex Trinomials

1. Check if you can factor out any number from each term and if you can place outside of brackets

2.Find factors if your 'a" value and place in each bracket

3. use guess and check with factors of c value to find the values of the equation, remember to check your work by expanding!
